Vybz Kartel To Debut Skin Care Product Line

PR Entertainment Jamaica - (M. Parc): Internationally renowned Dancehall artiste, Adidja “Vybz Kartel” Palmer is testing his skill set as an entrepreneur as he's set to debut a new line of skin products as well as a new fragrance called "OH!" next month.

The OH! Fragrance line, based off Kartel's popular catch phrase, will begin stocking local shelves September 15th; accompanied by a variety of skin care products including astringents amongst other products for women and men. Kartel explained the gist of his upcoming products via press release, saying, "It is the fragrance from Vybz Kartel called "OH,” and It’s for men and women. Also i have astringent, and skin lighteners/toners for the ladies as well. "It's a whole line of skin care products from the Worl' Boss."

This will be the third different line of products merchandized by Vybz Kartel since the beginning of this year. This past February, the self-proclaimed "Dancehall Hero" announced the launching of his new shoe brand, "Addis," whilst announcing his intention to release t-shirts, dog tags and belt buckles based off the Kartel brand. "Di Teacha," also unveiled his own brand of blue power soap called "Vybz Cake Soap," in May across select stores in
Kingston and Falmouth. Kartel's Cake Soap, branded as an "acne cleansing" product sold off various batches of the product within its first few days on the market. Additionally, Kartel is reportedly still planning to debut his own rum line; months after his successful Street Vybz Rum brand was effectively discontinued following the severance of ties with former business partner and American businessman, Corey Todd.

Kartel is currently shooting episodes for his upcoming reality show, Teacha's Pet to debut on CVM TV next month and has also released new singles within the last two weeks such as "Dedication" and "Love You Enuh" on Sounique Records’ Lost Angel Riddim.

Controversial deejay Vybz Kartel is back on the market. The artiste is gearing up to distribute a whole new line of skincare products and fragrances.

Set to be released to the public in September are the Vybz Skin Brightener, Vybz Body Brightener, Vybz Anti-Aging Moisturiser, Vybz Astringent, Vybz Soap and OH! by Vybz Kartel in men's cologne and women's perfume.

This will not be the first time the artiste-turned-businessman will be releasing his own line of products, having previously released Daggerin' Condoms and Vybz Rum with ex-business partner Corey Todd. However, since the two parted ways earlier this year, this will be Kartel's first solo project.

Speaking with The WEEKEND STAR recently, the deejay explained that he would be releasing a range of Vybz skincare products, and fragrances under the name 'OH!' after his signature slang. As to what inspired this, he said, "My drive is to always make money."

The company distributing the products is Romping Shop owned by Vybz Kartel and will all be made in Jamaica. The artiste is also planning to open a store under the same name Romping Shop where the products will be made available. He said, "The store opening will coincide with the release of the products in September. As far as plans for the products go, I wanna see them in Macys and all other fine retailers worldwide. Romping Shop will be the distributor of the product, so the product can be bought by retailers and sold anywhere they choose to sell them."

The store, he disclosed, would either be located in downtown Kingston or New Kingston adding, "We have two options now, so we are deciding which location would capitalise on our reach."

As to what future products he plans to sell through his Romping Shop company, Kartel commented, "I can't disclose that at this moment. The copycats antennas are up."

In February, the artiste also released other merchandise including dog tags, T-shirts and belt buckles. According to Kartel, those items are to be redone and redistributed on the market soon as well.

Musically, the artiste has out now songs such as Dedication, Nymphomania, the Lost Angel rhythm which features the Portmore Empire and Badmind Get the Best of Them from Adidjahiem/Headconcussion. He is currently filming his reality show Teacha's Pet in Kingston.
