International Star Nelly Furtado Working With Stephen 'Di Genius' McGregor & Sly and Robbie

Nelly Furtado spent some time in Jamaica while working on her new album The Spirit Indestructible, collaborating with Stephen “Di Genius”  McGregor on a (deluxe-version only) one-drop track called “Don’t Leave Me.” She also recorded with the legendary Sly and Robbie, at Kingston’s Anchor Studios, for an unrelated project.

The album’s Rodney Jerkins-produced lead single “Parking Lot,” sure to be one of the club anthems of the fall, has also just gotten a dancehall makeover (though we hear some traces of dancehall energy in the original, as well) courtesy of producer The Wizard, who contributes additional vocals to the remix, too.
